Painting #306 - I really like the bottom left hand corner of this painting. Another tree found on my daily walk.
What better way to increase your painting skills than to paint daily! On July 11th I decided to paint 30 paintings in 30 days and I successfully completed the journey on August 9, 2010. I am an art educator and thus, chose to post "the good, the bad and the ugly" to provide insight into the learning process. This blog is a record of paintings that began on July 11, 2010.
Painting #306 - I really like the bottom left hand corner of this painting. Another tree found on my daily walk.
Painting #305 - This is my favourite tree portrait so far. I love the tree and the colours. I found this tree on an early morning walk.
Paining #304 - I really struggled with this painting. I kept feeling like the top wasn't unified with the bottom. I think it works now.
Painting #303 - I love the top right corner of this painting along with the blues, greens and yellows.
Painting #302 - I thought I'd experiment with a different size canvas. It was difficult with such a narrow board. My title was chosen because I finished just before Valentine's Day. I was hoping someone would buy it for their lover lol!!
Painting #301 - It was fun trying to work with new colours. This is a tree I pass by on my daily walks.
Painting #300 - Continuing to try and achieve more illumination in my work.
Painting #299 - This is a small tree portrait I completed after taking David Langevin's class.
Painting #298 - This painting was inspired by Blackfoot Traditional teachings. The buffalo faces the storm head on as should people by taking responsibility and ownership of their actions.
