Painting #342 - More experimenting with colour and abstract elements to add interest.
What better way to increase your painting skills than to paint daily! On July 11th I decided to paint 30 paintings in 30 days and I successfully completed the journey on August 9, 2010. I am an art educator and thus, chose to post "the good, the bad and the ugly" to provide insight into the learning process. This blog is a record of paintings that began on July 11, 2010.

Painting #341 - Experimenting with colour and design choices to add some abstract elements to the painting.
Painting #340 - Still trying to achieve beauty, depth, interest by laying transparent paints and using my opaques appropriately. This painting was inspired by a photo that my nephew Nolan took. He's brilliant!
Painting #339 - I'm playing around with layering techniques, trying to achieve more light by using opaque and transparent paint. I have a long way to go!

Painting #336 - Creating some vibrant pieces for the mini-master piece Stampede art gallery.
Painting #335 - Another snow painting to practice my technique.
Painting #334 - My first snow painting post David Langevin's course. I need to complete a bigger painting to really try out the techniques that I was taught.
Painting #333 - I started this painting before David Langevin's course but couldn't undo what had already been done. If I could, I would redo the water and rocks.
Painting #332 - Still trying out new techniques from David Langevin's course. I need a lot of practice!
Painting #331 - I'm trying out new techniques from David Langevin's course. I don't think I was very successful but it's all a part of the learning process.
Painting # 330 - Another tree portrait inspired by the Calgary Stampede's midway foods.
